Lynette Keys, BSN, OCN, CFNIP

Functional Nutritionist

Lynette Keys has been a registered nurse and healthcare practitioner for almost 30 years. Along with having a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, she also holds a secondary Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology with a minor in Biochemistry. Over the past 3 decades, Lynette has expanded her expertise into several areas of medicine, becoming certified in the fields of Oncology, Critical Care, and Pain Management. She has written two books in the field of medicine, along with dozens of medical and nutritional protocols throughout her career.

One of Lynette’s biggest passions is seeing the world with her husband and two sons. During their travels, she began to notice how different countries had so many more people living longer, healthier lives than we did in the US. She discovered that most of these thriving countries’ approach to healthcare wasn’t with medicine, but with food. So, in 2012, she began doing extensive research in nutrition, holistic medicine, and how the body was designed to heal itself with food. Her new passion was to bridge the gap between medicine and nutrition and help people learn how to give their body what it needs to heal itself.

In 2019, she became a licensed certified health and wellness coach. She then continued her education and became a Food as Medicine Coach and Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner.

Lynette joins the elite team at VAYA as their Functional Nutrition Practitioner where she will raise the bar of traditional western medicine by treating the whole person. She is very convicted about helping every client understand the root cause of their issues, developing a patient-specific plan addressing all areas of health and wellness (nutritionally, medically, physically, mentally, and spiritually). Lynette is very excited to partner with her clients to build every aspect of their life in order to ensure their long-term success.

She has been blessed with an incredible husband of 25 years, two wonderful sons, and two very large, beautiful Great Danes (Everest and Kilimanjaro). She believes that you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat a dog, and if you meet someone with a little bit of fur on their clothing, they tend to be pretty good people!
Her hobbies include international travel, fitness, writing, and ministry, and keeping her priorities of Faith, Family, and Career firmly in that order.
